"Into the Light"
Gentle soft colors and rays of light embrace the baby as much as the parent who must carry their child into the light.
I entered the art world as a Graphic Arts student who was frustrated with the limited color pallet. I have since been using advanced programs to replicate the traditional media I love. I've been in education since 2010, and when I'm not teaching my students, I spend it sharing my love of art.
"I paint the light," meaning I use an impressionistic and abstract styles to share the beauty of the world around me. Many of my paintings are electronic. I use a blank scream and mouse to create my works from scratch.
All the best,Gentle soft colors and rays of light embrace the baby as much as the parent who must carry their child into the light.
A famous German castle, painted from my mother's 4x4 photograph.
The cover art of "Beneath the Willow"; a mystical adventure set in an Aztec forest.
A baby fawn, standing in winter.
A rainy morning in my home town.
For a friend.
I started with Arcane Heart Studios after graduating from Midlands University in Fremont, Nebraska. I’ve been a part of many different shows and charities in the Omaha area. Some of my most memorable shows were the Girlscouts’ ArtVenture, the Visiting Nurse Association’s Art & Soup, and the River Valley Artisans and Craft Market. I've hung my art at the Turtle Shop and the Hudson Gallery at Eppley Airfield.
Usually, if it's just an abstract or a landscape painting, I do not plan with pencil and paper. I start my paintings on a blank canvas in my favorite program ArtRage going freehand with the mouse or my bamboo tablet. I paint in layers, so I'm able to make more pinpoint adjustments and bring in custom tools or papers to help me achieve the look I want.
